StreamOwl provides real-time analytics software for IPTV and OTT service quality management based on standardized methods by ITU-T from the P.120X series. We provide a large set of network- and video-related KPIs to assess the Quality-of-Experience (QoE) and analyze the impact of system and network degradations on the perceived experience and satisfaction of the viewers.
StreamOwl provides probes for 24/7 QoE monitoring of the most common IPTV platforms (e.g. Ericsson Mediaroom) and OTT services (e.g. YouTube, Netflix, Hulu) to enable efficient service quality management. We also provide passive and active hardware-based probes to monitor the quality of the delivered services. We support monitoring of Apple HLS, MPEG-DASH, Adobe HDS, and Microsoft SmoothStreaming video.
StreamOwl provides customizable quality monitoring reports to ensure the smooth operation of IPTV and OTT streaming services. The reports provide real-time statistics about start-up delay, buffer-level, re-buffering time, audio/video quality, Mean Opinion Score (MOS), bitrate, number of lost packets, network throughput, video cache server, and other information (e.g. TR-126 KPIs) which can be used as diagnostics for root-cause analysis.
